Located in Sivrihisar village, the Kızıl Kilise (Red Church) takes its name from the red cut stone it is built of and dates to the 5th-6th centuries. It is known for its cross plan, its dome on an octagonal drum and the light entering through its windows, and is considered one of the oldest standing Byzantine churches. It was placed on the World Monuments Fund's list of endangered sites in 2008 and later restored.
