Near Yeşilova village, Acemhöyük was a settlement that flourished during the Assyrian Trade Colonies period, around 1950-1750 BC. The Sarıkaya and Hatipler palaces uncovered in excavations point to the site's administrative and commercial importance. Finds include seals and ivory objects.
