Antalya

Antalya, with its long summers, turquoise sea and the Taurus Mountains dropping straight into the coast, is Türkiye's tourism capital. The stone streets of Kaleiçi, ancient cities such as Aspendos, Perge, Side and Termessos, and seaside towns like Kaş, Kemer and Alanya are all in one province.

When to go

The sea is swimmable from late May to late October. Spring and autumn are ideal for ancient sites; winters are mild and summers very hot.

Bus terminal: Antalya bus terminal is north of the centre; buses to Kemer, Kaş, Side and Alanya leave from here.
