Central Bilecik is known for the tomb of Şeyh Edebali, regarded as the spiritual founder of the Ottoman state. The tomb stands on a hill at Hisarlık, near the Orhan Gazi Mosque, and holds sarcophagi of other members of Şeyh Edebali's family besides his own.
