Seben, south of central Bolu, is known for its apple production and highland plateaus such as Gerenözü and Kızık, which rise to nearly 1,400 metres. The nail-free timber-frame plateau houses of Kızık are notable, and the Bağlum thermal springs in Kesenözü village also lie within the district.
