Beyağaç is a green, cool district in southern Denizli, at the foot of Mount Sandras. Nature tourism centres on Kartal Lake, its plateaus and the Kemer Dam on the Akçay river. It became a separate district in 1990, splitting from Kale; its economy rests on tobacco and fruit and vegetable farming.
