Silvan is known for the Malabadi Bridge, a 150-metre stone bridge with a single large arch, built by the Artuqids in 1147. The district also has other historic structures, including Silvan Castle, the Ayyubid-era Broken Minaret and Lion Tower, and the Hasuni cave settlement.
