The hospital section of the complex built by Sultan Bayezid II on the Tunca in 1488 treated patients with mental illness through music, the sound of water and pleasant scents. Restored by Trakya University starting in 1993, it opened as the Health Museum in 1997 and received the Council of Europe Museum Award in 2004.
