Ağın, in north-western Elazığ, is a small district that has taken on a peninsula-like shape on the shore of the Keban reservoir. It is known for its roasted chickpeas (leblebi); its history goes back to the Hurrians of the 17th-16th centuries BC, and it came under Ottoman rule in 1514.
