Eynesil

Eynesil is a coastal district in eastern Giresun, close to the Trabzon border; its history goes back to the Hittite period around 1500 BCE, and it was incorporated into Ottoman territory in 1461. Hazelnut and tea farming and fishing are the district's livelihoods, and a lively Black Sea culture of kemençe music and horon dancing continues.
