Yağlıdere

Yağlıdere, 14 km from the Giresun coast, became a district in 1987 after separating from Espiye; most of its population is of Çepni Turkmen origin. Many people from the district have emigrated to the United States, particularly New York and New Jersey; around 34 tonnes of honey are produced there each year.
