Cennet Cehennem Vadisi (Heaven-Hell Valley) lies about 45 kilometres from central Hakkari, at the foot of Mount Cilo at around 3,500 metres. Part of the valley holds permanent glaciers while another part is covered with flowering meadows depending on the season, a stark contrast that gives the valley its name. Visitors come for hiking, mountaineering and rock climbing.
