Iğdır Genocide Memorial and Museum
A monument of five giant swords at the entrance to the city, with a museum below.

The monument commemorates the Turks killed in attacks by Armenian bands in Iğdır and its villages between 1915 and 1920, and opened in 1999. At 43.5 metres high, it is made up of five swords whose hilts carry figures representing different periods of Turkish history. The museum beneath it displays documents, photographs and maps from the period.
