Salt galleries turned from old salt workings into a place to visit.

The salt beds at Tuzluca have been worked since ancient times; the Spanish envoy Clavijo, who passed through in the 15th century, also mentions these salt mines. Part of the workings was adapted and opened to visitors in 2021. You can walk through underground galleries lined with salt crystals, and the cave air is also sought out by people with respiratory complaints. It stays cool inside all year.
