Narlıdere is a small district on the south shore of İzmir Bay. It has an Olympic-size swimming pool built for the 2005 Universiade and the Dokuz Eylül University Medical School Hospital; around 1,500 homes use geothermal heating. The İzmir Metro M1 line runs through the district.
