Küre Mountains National Park lies on the Küre Mountains in the western Black Sea region, within the borders of Kastamonu and Bartın provinces, and is one of Türkiye's richest areas for canyons and caves. In 1998 the park was named a priority conservation area by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF); the Valla and Horma canyons both lie within its boundaries.
