Akkışla is a district in north-eastern Kayseri, west of Mount Hınzır. The Yoghurt and Kilim Festival is held every year on the Üsküdar Plateau, and the Late Hittite remains at Tabal Mound and Uğurlu Castle are the district's historic traces.
