Kaman-Kalehöyük Archaeological Museum
Finds from mounds excavated by Japanese archaeologists, beside a large Japanese garden.
- History
Built through cooperation between Türkiye and Japan, the museum opened in 2010. It displays finds from the excavations of the Japanese Institute of Anatolian Archaeology at Kalehöyük, Yassıhöyük and Büklükale. Its grass-covered building is designed to echo the shape of the mound. Right next to it is a large Japanese garden laid out in memory of Prince Mikasa.
