Hekimhan, in northern Malatya, has Mount Zurbahan (2,091 m) as its highest point; it takes its name from the Taşhan Caravanserai, built around 1218 by the Seljuk sultan İzzettin Keykavus and thought to be named after the renowned physician Hekim Selim El-Malati. The caravanserai, which bears inscriptions in Armenian, Seljuk and Syriac, can be seen along with a historic bathhouse and mosque in the district.
