Beçin Castle

Beçin sits on a plateau overlooking the Milas plain. Although it holds remains from the Byzantine period, most of what survives today dates from the Menteşe beylik, which made it its capital in the late 13th century. The Ahmet Gazi Medrese, the only structure with its original inscription still in place, along with the Karapaşa Medrese, Orhan Bey Mosque and the remains of a caravanserai and bathhouse can be seen.
