Euromos Ancient City

Euromos was the region's most important city after Mylasa (Milas) in antiquity. Although much of the site is damaged, its 2nd-century-AD Corinthian-order Temple of Zeus is considered one of Asia's half-dozen best-preserved temples, still standing with six columns across its front and nine along each side. Some of the columns carry dedicatory inscriptions naming donors to the city, and the stoa around the agora and a large but weathered theatre can also be seen.
