Gülşehir

Gülşehir, on the Kızılırmak river, is one of Cappadocia's lesser-known corners. Roman-era rock tombs and 9th-10th century churches carved into the tuff at Açıksaray, and the Karavezir Complex built in 1779, are its highlights.
