Çaybaşı, in northern Ordu, is bordered by Ünye to the north and east, İkizce to the west and Akkuş to the south; formerly called Çilader, it was renamed Çaybaşı in 1959. Georgian migrants settled in the area after the 1877-78 Ottoman-Russian War.
