Cape Jason, within the boundaries of Çaytepe village in the Perşembe district, is the headland the geographer Strabo referred to as "Iasonion". It holds a church built in 1868 and restored in 2004, along with remains thought to belong to a monastery to its southeast; at the foot of the cape lies an older church/monastery site known as "Panaya". The area is protected as a first-degree archaeological and second-degree natural site.
