Göbeklitepe

Göbeklitepe, dated to more than about 11,000 years ago, is described as one of the oldest known temple sites in the world, with monumental structures of giant T-shaped pillars carved with animals. The site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2018. It is toured from the visitor centre along walkways under a protective roof.
