Uludere is a mountainous district on the Iraqi border, among the Haftanîn and Kel Mehmet mountains and the Suwar, Serhe and Haftanîn plateaus. Kilim and carpet weaving, and dishes made with wild plants gathered from the plateaus, are part of the district's local crafts and cuisine.
