The Munzur springs, at the foot of the Munzur Mountains, are where water emerges from many openings in the rocks to form the Munzur stream. It is a place of pilgrimage held sacred in Alevi belief, and visitors are expected to treat it with respect. The area lies within Munzur Valley National Park.
