Taşhan, in central Çay, belongs to a Seljuk stone complex built in 1278 under III. Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev by Ebul-Mücahit Yusufhan, with the architect Oğul Bey son of Mehmet. Combining features of both open-courtyard and enclosed caravanserais, its courtyard has been destroyed but its enclosed winter section survives; its square plan is considered unique among Anatolian Seljuk caravanserais.
