Near Kızılkaya village, Aşıklı Höyük is a Neolithic settlement inhabited from the 9th to the end of the 8th millennium BC. Its oval, semi-subterranean mud-brick houses document the transition from hunting and gathering to settled life. An experimental reconstructed village near the entrance shows houses of the period, and the excavation area is protected under a roof.
